We review AI tools so you can trust what you buy.
ClixWave was built on one belief: people deserve honest, independent reviews before spending money on AI software. No hype. No sponsors. Just the truth.
The AI tool market is full of noise. We cut through it.
When we started ClixWave, the AI software market was exploding — hundreds of new tools launching every month, each claiming to be the best. The problem? Most reviews online were written by people who’d never actually used the tools, or worse, were paid to say they loved them.
We decided to do things differently. Every tool we review is tested hands-on for a minimum of two weeks, across real workflows. We buy the subscriptions ourselves. We test edge cases. We compare pricing. And we only publish when we have something genuinely useful to say.
Our affiliate links mean we earn a commission if you buy through us — but that never changes our scores or recommendations. If a tool isn’t worth your money, we say so clearly.
Hands-on testing only
Every tool is used on real projects before we write a single word.
Standardized scoring
14 identical tasks across every tool — so scores are truly comparable.
Zero paid placements
Brands cannot pay to appear in or influence our reviews. Ever.
Updated every month
AI tools change fast. We re-test whenever major updates ship.
How We Review AI Tools
We pick the tool — not the brand
Tools are selected based on market demand, search intent, and reader requests — never because a company reached out to us. We compile a shortlist of the most relevant tools in each category and test every one of them before deciding which deserves a full review.
Two weeks of real-world use
We subscribe to the paid plan (not the free trial) and use the tool across real tasks — writing actual blog posts, building real automations, running real SEO audits. We don’t rely on demo videos, press releases, or feature lists from the company’s marketing page.
14 standardized test tasks
Every tool in the same category is put through an identical set of 14 tasks. This makes our scores directly comparable — not just gut feelings. We measure speed, output quality, ease of use, reliability, support responsiveness, and value for money.
Independent scoring and publishing
We score every tool on a 10-point scale, write the review, and publish — without showing it to the company first. No “approval” step. No PR edits. The brand has no say in the final score or the language we use. If something is bad, we say so.
Monthly re-testing and updates
AI tools ship updates constantly. We check every published review monthly and re-test whenever a major feature update, pricing change, or new competitor launches. Review dates are always displayed so you know exactly how recent the testing is.
What We Stand For
Radical honesty
If a tool is overpriced, unreliable, or simply not as good as the marketing claims — we say so clearly. Our readers trust us because we call it as we see it, even when it costs us affiliate commissions.
Rigorous testing
Opinion without evidence is just noise. Every claim in our reviews is backed by actual testing — we record our sessions, track output quality, and document results with screenshots and data.
Full transparency
We clearly disclose every affiliate relationship on every page. We explain our scoring methodology openly. We show the date of every test. You always know exactly where our information comes from.
Always up to date
Stale reviews waste your time. We track tool updates, pricing changes, and new competitors — and update every review to reflect the current reality, not what was true six months ago.
Reader-first decisions
Every editorial decision — which tools to review, which categories to cover, which questions to answer — is driven by what our readers actually need, not what’s easiest to write about.
Long-term thinking
We’d rather publish 10 deeply researched reviews a year than 100 shallow ones. Building genuine trust with our readers is more valuable to us than chasing short-term traffic.
The ClixWave Team
Affiliate Disclosure
How we make money — and why it doesn’t affect our reviews
ClixWave earns revenue through affiliate commissions. This means that when you click a link on our site and purchase a tool, we may receive a commission from that company — at no extra cost to you.
We want to be completely clear: affiliate relationships never influence our scores, rankings, or editorial decisions. Tools are ranked purely on their merits. If a highly profitable affiliate partner builds a poor product, we will say so. If a tool with no affiliate program is the best in its category, it gets the top spot.
Every page on ClixWave that contains affiliate links is clearly labelled. Our scoring methodology is fully documented and applied consistently across all reviews. We believe that long-term reader trust is worth more than any short-term commission — and we run our site accordingly.
